Since 1976 this volunteer-run, nonprofit anarchist bookstore has kept free thinkers supplied with organic-permaculture manuals, prison literature, and radical comics, all while coordinating the annual spring Anarchist Book Fair and expanding the Anarchists of the Americas storefront mural – makes us tools of the state look like slackers. Hours are impressively regular, but call ahead to be sure.
