Pizzeria Locale

Boulder

The obvious choice for a slice with style. Beloved stepchild of upscale Frasca (they share a kitchen), this southern Italian–style pizzeria fills with locals at the bar sipping aperol spritzers and house wine on barrel tap. Starters like arancini (risotto balls with a hint of orange) show off street cred. For deals, come between 4pm and 5:30pm.

The double-zero crust and a fast, super-hot firing produces pies that are crispy and chewy. While the Margherita is a well-done classic, combinations like corn and crème fraîche offer a happy surprise.
