Difficult Campground

Top choice in Aspen

The largest campground in the Aspen area, Difficult is one of four sites at the foot of Independence Pass and the only one that takes reservations. Located 5 miles west of town, it also has the lowest altitude (8000ft). Higher up are three smaller campgrounds: Weller, Lincoln Gulch and Lost Man. Water is available, but no electrical hookups for RVs.
