The Gables

Philadelphia

A virtual museum of Victoriana, staying at the Gables is like stepping back in time save for the modern-day conveniences such as cable TV, wi-fi and a DVD library. Otherwise you'll find oak floors and wall paneling, four-poster beds and antique furnishings, as well as a pump organ and baby grand in the lounge.

The house dates to 1889 and was designed by Willis Hale, a prominent local architect.
