Native Caught Fish

Columbia River Gorge

Nearly every day, you'll find one to several Native American vendors under the Bridge of the Gods (Oregon side) selling smoked and sometimes fresh salmon caught in the Columbia River. In summer Latinx fruit sellers also set up shop. Don't miss the adjacent mural – hint: look for the third eagle.

The Native peoples in the surrounding areas that have treaty fishing rights are the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Reservation, the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Reservation and the Yakima Nation.
