Created by a homesick Tokyo chef, this hushed restaurant promises peace and pleasure in equal proportions. Sink into one of the secluded booths, order the omakase (regularly changing tasting menu, for a minimum of two guests) and abandon yourself to a precise succession of delights: silky tofu, miso-marinated cod and seasonal sashimi.
The experience starts just inside the unmarked door, where you'll be led along bamboo- and pebble-lined pathways lit by lanterns to a private booth enclosed by bamboo curtains. A buzzer on the table summons the server, who can expertly guide you through the menu. Given the atmosphere, it's a date-night favorite.
