Barclays Center

New York City

The Brooklyn Nets in the NBA (formerly the New Jersey Nets) hold court at this high-tech stadium. Basketball aside, Barclays also stages boxing, professional wrestling, major concerts and shows by big names; Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, KISS and Cirque de Soleil have all rocked the stadium.

The stadium, with its futuristic design – which looks like a rusting spaceship, topped by a well-kept grassy lawn, rearing above Atlantic Ave – has transformed the neighborhood though there are regular murmurs about whether the venue has lived up to its own hype.
