Not your average bookshop, Harper's feels like a gallery (OK it's a gallery, too), stocking rare and out of print art and photography books. Check out the Catcher in the Rye by appropriation artist Richard Price, one of 500 original printings of his indistinguishable pirated version of JD Salinger's original, which he forged as a piece of conceptual art and distributed in Central Park.
That'll set you back $5000 (it's initialed by Prince).
