Housed in an ornately carved 1904 building, this stately 202-room hotel is ideally located for families with children (Central Park and the American Museum of Natural History are a stone’s throw away). For the price, rooms are bordering on a little old-fashioned, with beige flowered bedspreads and scrolled headboards, but they do come with modern granite bathrooms and good closet space.
