Upper East Side fashionistas had been emptying out their closets at the pioneering consignment and resale shop known as Encore since 1954 (even Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis used to sell her clothes here), but Encore took its final bow in 2019. La Boutique Resale took over the space and kept the fire alive.
Expect to find a gently worn selection of name brands such as Louboutin, Fendi, Dior, Pucci, Chanel, Missoni and Etro. Prices are high, but infinitely better than retail.
