It’s not easy to snag one of the 22 stools at Tanoshi, a wildly popular, pocket-sized sushi spot. The setting may be humble, but the flavors are simply magnificent. Only sushi is on offer and only omakase (chef’s selection) – which might include Hokkaido scallops, kelp-cured flake or mouthwatering uni (sea urchin). BYO beer, sake or whatnot.
