Big Daddy's

Union Square, Flatiron District & Gramercy

Giant, fluffy omelettes, hearty burgers and heaps of tater tots (regular or sweet potato) have made Big Daddy's a top choice for both breakfast and late-night treats. The interior is all Americana kitsch, but unlike some theme restaurants the food doesn't break the bank and actually satisfies (and the kids' menu will please wee grumbling tums).

Come later in the afternoon on weekdays for happy-hour deals: its gargantuan shakes are half price 3pm to 5pm, while a rotation of appetizers and other drinks are half price 4pm to 7pm.
