This James Beard–award-winning gastropub is a favorite with Villagers, restaurant and bar industry types, as well as celebrities like Kanye West. The kitchen serves an upscale blend of hearty Italian and British dishes, plus an ever popular cheeseburger with shoestring fries. Its two floors are bedecked with old-timey trinkets that give the whole place an air of relaxed elegance.

The restaurant and chef April Bloomfield's renown are so considerable that folks-in-the-know considered it shocking when, after 11 years, the Spotted Pig lost its Michelin star in 2016.

Reservations aren't taken, so there is often a wait for a table.
