Residence Inn New York Manhattan/Midtown East

Midtown

Popular for its occasional deals (half off in winter), this Residence Inn offers no surprises to those familiar with the Marriott brand. Rooms are clean, comfortable and in good condition, with serviceable kitchenettes (a big draw for families). Some quarters, however, are cramped and rather gloomy, so try to take a look before committing.

The extensive breakfast buffet gets crowded – go early to score a seat (and plan on sometimes lengthy waits for the elevator in the morning). Take advantage of the complimentary ear plugs if sleeping on the lower floors.
