Taos Cow

Top choice

During research this beloved ice cream shop and cafe had closed and was selling scoops from a kiosk while finalizing new digs in Arroyo Seco. The longtime social center of the community, it makes a great stop-off en route to or from Taos Ski Valley. It’s famous for its tasty, rich all-natural ice cream, but the cafe menu is good too.

The cafe serves coffees, baked goods and deli sandwiches. Cooked breakfasts include green eggs and ham – the green in question being green chile, naturally.

Check the Taos Cow Facebook page before visiting to get the current hours and location.
