River Bend Farm B&B

Step back in time to 1770, when this Georgian Colonial was a local tavern owned by Benjamin Simonds. The house owes its painstaking restoration to hosts Judy and Dave Loomis. Four simple, comfortable doubles share two bathrooms with claw-foot tubs. Breakfast is served in the wood-paneled taproom, next to the wide stone fireplace. A truly atmospheric place to stay.

Despite the name, it's not on a farm but along US 7 on the north side of the little bridge over the Hoosic River, 1.5 miles north of Williamstown center.
