J's Oyster

This well-loved dive has the cheapest raw oysters in town (staring at $23 for a dozen) and gives visitors a glimpse of pre-gentrification Portland. It's the sort of place where people might get into a fight about the Patriots game, but in a disarmingly charming New England way. The oyster-averse have plenty of sandwiches and seafood mains to choose from.
