Located in the palm- and lawn-filled area of Henderson known as Green Valley Ranch, the District is the Las Vegas area's first New Urbanism development. Designed like a compact, small downtown, it's filled with local restaurants, exercise studios and numerous boutiques. There are also national name-brand stores like Whole Foods Williams-Sonoma and one of the region's two REI locations.

It's filled with shade-giving palm trees and manicured foliage, plus ample outdoor seating and waterworks for kids to play in. On weekend evenings, live outdoor music concerts and free movies are presented. It's located next to the huge Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa Casino.
