The pub is home to Cherry Republic Brewing Company that makes Leelanau Lambic, a dry, tart ale blended with local Montmorency cherries. It also produces three other cherry beers, plus traditional IPAs and lagers. The lengthy menu of burgers, sandwiches and meaty mains all have a cherry twist (say, a cherry-tinged mustard or barbecue sauce).
The Public House is part of the Cherry Republic complex in downtown Glen Arbor that includes the Great Hall (a shop full of 200-plus cherry products), a winery, flower gardens and a cherry pit spitting arena. It's touristy but fun.
