Thornapple is like a friendly corner tavern, where patrons know each other, play cards and compete on trivia teams, though the vibe is slightly punctured by its location in a strip mall. The 12 or so taps pour American stouts, English brown ales, Belgian-style dark brews and herbal saisons, as well as a handful of ciders and meads.
But Thornapple doesn’t stop there. It also makes red and white wines, and whiskey, rum, vodka, gin and fruit brandies. You will not go thirsty! Spent grain becomes crust for an array of pizzas, of which gluten-free versions are available.
