Beer enthusiasts consider Tree House to be among the top breweries in the country, and since its beers are not sold elsewhere, expect to wait in line behind other thirsty hopheads. It's a sleek operation, located in sharply designed premises with views of the brew kettles from the shop and bar, and outdoor seating in landscaped wooded grounds.
Saturday is the main event, with draft beer, live music and food trucks; try Julius, a New England–style IPA that's one of Tree House's most sought-after brews. It's four miles northeast of Sturbridge, off US 20. Check the brewery's Twitter account for news on the latest releases.
