Beans in the Belfry

Western Maryland

This converted redbrick church about 6 miles east of Harpers Ferry, WV, shelters mismatched couches and kitsch-laden walls. The menu features coffee and light fare (chili, sandwiches, quiche), and there's a tiny stage where live folk, blues and bluegrass bands strike up several nights a week. Sunday jazz brunch ($18) is a hit. A cool spot and worth the drive.
