Bentley Hotel

Looming over downtown Alexandria is this beaux-arts beauty, a stately mix of tall cornices, extended eaves, pale limestone and Ionic columns. The building screams wealth and history; indeed, the Bentley was built by timber baron Joseph Bentley and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Rooms are relatively simple, with white linens and some historical accents.
