Mama Shelter

Top choice in Hollywood

Hip, affordable Mama Shelter keeps things playful with its lobby gumball machines, foosball table and live streaming of guests' selfies and videos. Standard rooms are small but cool, with quality beds and linen and subway-tiled bathrooms with decent-sized showers. Quirky in-room touches include movie scripts, masks and Apple TVs with free Netflix. The rooftop bar is one of LA's best.

Our favorite room is the Medium Mama Corner City View, which offers more natural light than the standard mediums. Self/valet parking is $22/39 per night.
