Moku Kitchen

Honolulu

One of the newest additions to SALT at Our Kakaʻako, Moku Kitchen is a Honolulu eatery that perfectly marries the best of both worlds – upcountry farming’s freshest ingredients and ranch-inspired recipes converging to arrive on the tables of the city’s urban connoisseurs.

The restaurant is the brainchild of the brilliant culinary minds that created other island sensations Monkeypod Kitchen located in Ko Olina and Wailea. 'Moku,' the Hawaiian word meaning island, draws its inspiration and its literal ingredients from its name – straight from local, island farms and ranches. As well as its focus on the freshest produce from trusted nearby sources, the eatery ups its game featuring selections made via the unique keawe wood-burning pizza oven on-site and its expo rotisserie roaster. Wine and craft beers also flow freely, acting as perfect compliments to the menu filled with island classics with an upscale gourmet twist, like Waipoli farm mixed greens, Szechuan stir-fry green beans with mac nuts, Bulgogi tacos and Hamakua wild mushroom pizza. It has plenty of desserts too, like the tropical treat perfect for Hawaii’s paradise: a generous slice of banana cream.
