Restaurant at Hotel Wailea

Top choice in Kihei & South Maui

Sunsets put on an astounding performance at this romantic hilltop hideaway, the only Relais & Châteaux restaurant in Hawaii. Helmed by chef Zach Sato, a Maui native, the kitchen artfully presents a short but exquisite line-up of locally inspired seafood and meat dishes, all enhanced by fresh regional produce and a global array of flavors.

The cocktails are top notch, and for a quick sunset excursion, grab a seat at the bar and have some fun with the snacks and starters. The Hawaiian poke crackers with squid ink are a wonder (but the torched ahi was an unexpected miss).
