Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park

Three properties target different travelers. Volcano Hale is a great bargain choice with its communal vibe, shared baths, kitchen and wood stove (upstairs rooms are quieter). Lokahi Lodge is a clean and basic option for families with a small hot tub. Chalet Kilauea's funky attempts at luxury skew gaudy potpourri, but dual shower heads in newer rooms might be fun.
