On the plus side, this family-run inn is friendly, safe and close to downtown Hilo. Bear in mind, however, that room furnishings are rather shabby (don't expect the polished place depicted in overly flattering website photos). Motel rooms are slightly overpriced, but hostel options are reasonable.
