While not as slick as the resort equivalents elsewhere on Kaua‘i, the North Shore’s one weekly luau is everything a Hawaiian luau should be. Housed in a separate dining room adjoining the much-loved Tahiti Nui bar, it has the feel of a genuine family party, with homespun entertainment followed by small-scale but authentic hula displays and fire dancing.
The food is much better too, complementing succulent roasted kalua pork with marinated fish, salads and garlic bread, and the mai tais can’t be faulted.
