For a taste of old-school Marathon, head to this barnlike upper-story shack on the waterfront. It's a much-loved local haunt where you can take a seat around the thatch-roof bar or at a picnic table and take in the breezy views while feasting on hearty home cooking: blackened-fish sandwiches, black beans and rice, handcut fries, shrimp baskets and stone crab soup.
Finish with the famous fried Key lime pie.
