The Brick Hotel

Delaware

The name fits. Constructed of local, kiln-fired brick, this 14-room hotel was completed in 1836 and operated as the Union Hotel during the Civil War. Rooms sport a classic but fresh style, and bathrooms come with towel warming racks. Guests receive a complimentary welcome snack basket. Open for lunch and dinner, the on-site restaurant serves American fare and seafood.

Inviting rocking chairs await on the front porch.
