This hulking chain hotel doesn't look much from the outside (in fact, it's quite ugly), but the good thing about old hotels is their oversize rooms. Inside, it has been fully refurbished to brand standards with plush bedding and amenities. Great rates make it a sensible base for exploring the Housatonic Valley, if you must stay in Danbury, or need a convenient stop just off I-84.
