Grant Park Orchestra

Top choice in Chicago

It's a summertime must-do. The Grant Park Orchestra – composed of top-notch musicians from symphonies worldwide – puts on free classical concerts at Millennium Park's Pritzker Pavilion. Patrons bring lawn chairs, blankets, wine and picnic fixings to set the scene as the sun dips, the skyscraper lights flicker on and glorious music fills the night air.

If you can't catch the evening show, rehearsals take place Tuesday to Friday, usually from 11am to 1pm. The orchestra played in Grant Park in the early days, hence the misleading name.
