Sonny's Hideaway

Los Angeles

Mission brown is back in vogue at this retro-inspired cocktail bar and eatery, decked out in brown dining booths and drawing a mixed, low-key crowd spanning hipsters to kooky couples. While the food menu is a competent, comfort affair, we prefer perching at the long, chatty bar for the smashing cocktails, shaken or stirred by congenial, attention-driven barkeeps.

Budget-conscious imbibers will appreciate the $6 cocktail specials, available 5pm to 7pm Tuesday to Saturday (from 4pm Sunday) and also from 11pm to 1am Tuesday to Thursday.
