About 8 miles north off I-10, this campground in Joshua Tree National Park counts drinking water, flush toilets and dump stations among its amenities and is often the last in-park developed camping to fill up. The 62 sites are scattered among the shrub, with easy access to trails and the visitor center. Reservations (compulsory from September to May) by phone and via www.recreation.gov. No RV hookups.
