Iron Door Grill & Saloon

Top choice in Yosemite & the Sierra Nevada

Claiming to be the oldest bar in the state (established in 1852 when it served liquor to thirsty miners), the Iron Door is a dusty, atmospheric place, with swinging doors, a giant bar, high ceilings, mounted animal heads and hundreds of dollar bills tacked to the ceiling. It has live music on some weekends and also hosts open-mic and karaoke nights.

The adjacent, more contemporary Iron Door Grill serves steaks, ribs and pasta dishes (mains $11 to $27).
