Mahogany Flat Campground

Death Valley National Park


First-come, first-served Mahogany Flat has only 10 spaces and, being located at 8200ft, the distinction of being the park's highest campground. Making it up here requires a high-clearance vehicle and possibly 4WD: be sure to check road conditions before setting out. Solitude and fresh mountain air await along with fire pits, tables and vault toilets – but no water.
