Eagle Beach State Recreation Area

This state campground, 15 miles from the ferry terminal and 28 miles from downtown Juneau, is worth the drive. Eagle Beach includes a ranger station, a wildlife viewing area and 26 wooded campsites ideal for tents. It’s within walking distance of three trailheads: Amalga/Eagle Glacier, Herbert Glacier and Windfall Lake.
