Hostel del Río

Colonia del Sacramento

Well-placed near the historic center, this hostel offers squeaky-clean four- to six-bed dorms and private rooms, along with a guest kitchen and back patio. While the overall atmosphere is rather sterile, the bright white dorms are excellent value, with thoughtful features including individual bedside reading lights on the bunk beds. Private rooms are less compelling, especially the musty back-facing units.
