This city-centre shopping, dining and entertainment district has the feel of a European town centre with its faux Georgian-style buildings, water features and pavements lined with trees. Along with an ever-increasing number of shops, cafes and restaurants, there is a 10-screen cinema complex and a handful of family-friendly attractions, including the Green Planet biodome and Hub Zero gaming centre.
Keep an eye out for edgy urban art created by top artists as part of the Dubai Walls project. At the time of research, Phase Two had been completed, with Phase Three scheduled to extend the district still further. Check the website for an update.
