Regularly booked out by Peace Corp volunteers and budget travellers, the New City Annex is rather unappealing but it gets the job done with simple, fan-cooled rooms and a handy city-centre location adjacent to a Nairobi bus office. Beware of the street noise. An excellent restaurant downstairs serves all meals and staff are surprisingly delightful.
