Le Bougainviller

Kampala

A slice of the Mediterranean in Africa, Le Bougainviller’s 20 sleek rooms are split across two gorgeous buildings sharing a courtyard. The best rooms have plush four-poster beds and face a flower-filled garden, while the apartments feature contemporary lofts, kitchens and bathtubs. There’s also a sauna, small slate pool and a French restaurant, though the caged songbirds seem rather unnecessary.

Children aged 12 and under stay free.
