Tradewinds is fairly rustic but still a good spot to base yourself for an extended stay: there are weekly rates (US$1325) and the location is ideal – it's right on the beach, just a few steps from town. Complimentary bikes and dive packages are available. The rooms are tidy, ocean-facing and decent value for Salt Cay.
