Trabzon's only hostel, Adelante is really more of a private home with shared bedrooms. Enthusiastically run by English- & Spanish-speaking Elif, it's a great place to meet fellow travellers, especially long-distance cyclists, who can stash bicycles in the back garden.
Laundry costs ₺25 per load, towel rental ₺5. The location is within one of the least-visited yet most complete sections of the citadel-fortress walls, 400m south of Ortahisar Fatih Mosque via a steep hillside. Dolmuş routes to Bahçecik and Çezaevi pass right outside.
