The 10-room Mehtap has million-dollar views over the harbour and submerged Lycian tombs from its bougainvillea-draped terraces. Four rooms are in a 200-year-old stone house, another four are in a Lycian building dating back over two millennia and the other two occupy a pair of purpose-built wood cottages.
Saffet and his father, İrfan, are warm and knowledgeable hosts. Saffet's wife, Nazike, grows her own vegetables and is an excellent cook (set meal ₺40).
