Totally unique and full of history, this gorgeous little cottage has the feel of a family home, with fantastic views over Scarborough Bay from the back porch, which also overlooks a garden dotted with fruit trees. It combines antique furnishings and appealing vintage-style decor with two air-con bedrooms, and an airy high-ceilinged living room with piano and Netflix on TV.

The Upper Scarborough location means this is only a feasible option if you've rented a car or enjoy hill walking, but the rates are incredibly reasonable, and it's great for families.
