This tiny place is a favorite locals' spot – many Trinis claim it makes the best rotis in Port of Spain. Fillings are fresh, succulent and generous (try the curried duck). There are lots of veggie choices and fabulous traditional breakfasts such as sada roti with choka (eggplant or tomato, chargrilled till tender and laced with garlic).
The range of roti skins runs from chickpea-infused dhalpuri to buss-up-shut, a pile of plain white-flour flatbread torn up to look like frayed fabric, which you use to scoop up curry from a takeaway snackbox. You can call in your order in advance to avoid the lunchtime rush.
