Monique’s

Port of Spain

In Maraval, 3km north of Queen’s Park Savannah, Monique’s is a bit out of the way – you'll need a car or a taxi to get into town – but offers lots of peace and quiet. There are 10 pleasant rooms, and its hillside annex has 10 large studios with cooking facilities and balconies overlooking the hills.

The friendly owners organize nature tours for guests, and there's a decent restaurant.
