B&B Utrecht City Center

Utrecht

This ramshackle 68-bed hostel has several remarkable selling points including the late check-out time (4pm) and the fact that basic foodstuffs for make-it-yourself meals (farm-egg breakfasts, lunch, dinner and even BBQ) are included.

The 1885 building is rather scrappy and bunks are closely packed, but there's an unkempt games-garden and common room with computers and musical instruments to play with. The small, laptop-charging lockers require your own padlock.
