Built as a residence in 1858 and functioning as a luxury hotel since 1881, this is Den Haag's most upmarket accommodation choice. Your check-in will be efficient and the hotel's location couldn't be better, but some of the rooms on the lower floors lack natural light, and public areas – particularly the bar area – are in need of refurbishment.
The spa has a small jet-steam pool, sauna, steam room, gym and treatment rooms. Breakfast costs €15.75; parking €40.
A lavish high tea is served in the lounge area between 2pm and 3.30pm daily (€39 weekdays, €41 weekends).
